Here's my story in brief. I was first introduced to horses as a child , living up the road from a farm. My brother and I would ride our bikes to the farm and stand on the fencing watching the horses and other animals. One day , my brother asked the owner if his sister could get on one of the horses. I was far too shy to ask anything like that , let alone actually do it! He said yes and let me ride bareback on one of the horses in a small pen. It only lasted ten minutes, but what a memory. Fast forward to college, where a flyer was in the dorm about free horse riding lessons. Who can pass that up?! I went and even brought my unwilling roommate along. After a couple weeks, they wanted a fee and then more and more. I would work at the barn to offset lessons. Riding became a passion. Show jumping became my weekends. Graduate school , marriage and family came next and horses had to wait. And wait. And wait. Finally- my youngest was about to graduate college and I started looking for a horse. How hard could it be after 30 years?!
